| 1137548 | 2010-09-18 08:22:00 | Why not use IE9 if you already have Vista or Win7? The browser is free if you want to use it with either O/S. Otherwise stay with IE8 or whatever you currently use. | Snorkbox (15764) | ||
| 1137549 | 2010-09-18 08:30:00 | Why play the M$ game and just update because they bring out a new OS. Not every one is made of money.. Not so much as playing the MS game, but don't complain when stuff you want are no longer supported on an out of date platform |

| 1137551 | 2010-09-18 09:42:00 | Very true plod, how many people would be happy driving around in a Ford Model T these days or watching Black & White TV or even using a push mower on their quarter acre section! -even though they were good products in their day. I've been using IE9 beta on a 64 bit Win 7 machine & have had no problems whatsoever sofar. (fingers crossed) At least I can advise my customers from personal experience. The Ford Model T is a classic, Black and White TV is artistic, and Push mowers don't require petrol and give you exercise. What's there to complain about? |

| 1137554 | 2010-09-18 09:53:00 | That's because MS relies on itself. Literally. It uses DirectX, whereas Firefox probably uses OpenGL or something similar. | ubergeek85 (131) | ||
| 1137555 | 2010-09-18 10:28:00 | but Firefox and all the rest support the web going back further than MS's IE. FF and all the other browsers have too support everything, because without everything these alternative browsers are nothing. Hey I'm a mac guy, just saying it as I see it |

I am sorry but that excuse does not carry any weight with me. It is a decision they made to try and increase their revenue and from what I have seen lately people have got a lot smarter and don't accept MS the way they used to and are prepared to use other web browsers. |

So have you tried IE9 Platform preview or Beta yet? |
