1137402 2010-09-16 21:34:00 I hope all the people pillorying him have been angels and haven't done any thing wrong in their pathetic lives. prefect (6291)
1137403 2010-09-16 21:35:00 Interesting point...if Rodney Hide is forced to resign from Parliament over this scandal, then do all the other list MPs who came in on his coat tails also get kicked out ?

After all if Rodney goes then their raison d'être also goes ?

Can you imagine bullet head resigning from Parliament over this? I think not.

Whilst you raise an interesting question, I don't think we are going to have the pleasure of answering it!

1137404 2010-09-16 21:36:00 Like so totally wrong, the Palestinians are my mates and I support their fight against their occupiers.

Oops, apologies prefect. Someone around here sucks up to the Zionist occupiers, and I wuz wrong in thinking it was you. Probably one of Cicero's loony notions.

1137405 2010-09-16 21:41:00 Garrett got his law degree in 1992 long before he was found out .

I will apologise if I am wrong; but if you are correct, what was all the baloney about when Garrett's brief said he would be in jeopardy of greater consequences if he was convicted, when he pleaded guilty? Was that because he was a lawyer rather than a law student?

If that was the case, I am wrong and apologise, but my original point is even stronger if that is the case - substitute "lawyer", "political party candidate" or whatever it was for "law student" and the situation is worse than I stated .

Both sad and pathetic for ACT and its MPs if Rodney is their raison d'être

Let us be reminded, Cicero does not have looney notions.

I am rather dissapointed in my party seeming to be full of idiots, but the Ayn Rand principle still stand.

I got caught out by this one too - I think Terry is messing with us. I am sure that Act loonies would say their raison d'être are loony notions such as those espoused in the post above by the squatter from Swannanoa, and by pig farmers like Douglas.

However, I think Terry may just be suggesting that the 'reason for the existence' of the other free loading Act twonks in Parliament is because of Rodders conning the gullible Epsom voters, and getting sufficient Party votes. If you take Rodders away, does the Party vote still stand? What happens if Old Bullet Head resigns and there is a by election in Epsom and he doesn't get in?

Incidentally, SWMBO is of the wise opinion that with Act imploding, and Key probably taking the purple rinse brigade vote away from Peters, we may be Act and NZ Last free following the next election. Now that has to be good for the country.

Well, let's ignore the first sentence - not worth responding to.

Regarding the second sentence, and ignoring Ayn Rand too (the notion she espoused anything worth calling principles is risible), what else do you expect of a party that stands for survival of the fittest? You are never going to get a group that will work together for the common good, let alone the common good of the electorate. The party will only ever attract self serving idiots like the current shower, and that will never work.

1137410 2010-09-17 01:25:00 Just heard on TV1 news that Garrett has resigned from the Act Party and is thinking about becoming independant or resigning from Parliament altogether. He's taking two weeks off to think about it.

Rodney Hide must be thinking about another coup in the wings.

1137411 2010-09-17 01:37:00 Will Mallard follow suit?

What about the deeds of some of the other MP's (and ex MPs). Cullen for example.

What about the gutter media mongrels?
