1178112 2011-02-15 07:28:00 It will in fact run OK on 1GB. So 2 is fine. Thats if you only want to use the minimum settings. I used to have 1GB of ram and windows kept saying that there wasn't enough ram. PC builder (15482)
1178113 2011-02-15 07:50:00 I've done photoshopping in Windows 7, and i don't think that's Minimum Settings. I have Aero on, and i constantly have at lest programs open at the same time, and both work fine. goodiesguy (15316)
1178114 2011-02-15 08:23:00 It is the minimum setting. Photoshopping is the exception, not the rule. Chilling_Silence (9)
1178115 2011-02-15 09:08:00 I've got a PC with Core 2 Duo E6300, 2*1GB RAM, 7600GT graphics and Win7 Ultimate, and I don't feel any "slowness" (though I don't use it for very intensive tasks). Aero, GIMP, Firefox (opening up 10+ tabs at a time), Flash, I don't think twice. There is NO problem at all.

It also ran Vista with 1GB RAM for a while, too, and while there isn't any major slowdowns during normal usage, it does feel a bit stretched sometimes (especially with the RAM usage at 70%+ most of the time)
