1137528 2010-09-17 07:32:00 Trying IE9 on a workshop PC -- PF1 loads a LOT faster on this, even leaves Firefox and Chrome for dead, adverts and all.

Are you trying IE9 on an XP computer? PJ

You can't try IE9 on an XP computer and you also can't install the 32 bit IE9 on a 64 bit operating system either.

1137530 2010-09-17 08:10:00 WHY doesn't it run on XP? Not a Querulous Question! Other than MS not wanting it to? PJ

You have it in one. Trying to encourage people to stay current - and spend more money!

There are plenty of safer alternatives to a Microsoft-branded browser...

1137531 2010-09-17 08:27:00 Tried it on a old machine with W7 on it. Can anyone open www.orcon.net.nz and see the full page with all graphics?? I'm minus the Youtube video piece. Updated the latest Flash as well.. paulw (1826)
1137532 2010-09-17 09:17:00 I can see it all with 32bit FF on a 64bit win7 machine gary67 (56)
1137533 2010-09-17 09:18:00 IE has a lot of market share, so does Nortons, with equally good qualifications. ;) R2x1 (4628)

1137535 2010-09-17 11:46:00 Doesn't appear to work on IE9, ( the flash video) even with the latest version from Adobe (labs.adobe.com).

Only Beta's so thats expected -- thats what beta is for - finding the "bugs"

Well, for Microsoft, it's for finding the blindingly obvious ones in the GUI - and even then, look at how vista tuned out :D

It is interesting that Firefox etc. will run on just about anything but because of MS playing there old tricks of trying to get everyone to upgrade IE won't even run on their most popular OS. Why people keep persevering with them I don't know.
