1178156 2011-02-14 05:46:00 hiya, i recently built myself a brand new PC, and built it with the help of my friend (who is a fully qualified IT techy), the build was made on the 14th of december 2010 . it consist's of:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 B . E
ASUS ATI Radeon HD EAH5850
ASUS M4A87TD EVO
G . Skill Trident 4GB 1600 (2x 2GB sticks)
Corsair HX750
Seagate Barracuda Xt Sata3 2TB HDD
COOLERMASTER V8 CPU cooler
COOLER MASTER HAF 912 Advanced Black

Basically, whats happening (it only just started happening recently E . G . last week or two), is the PC within 2-3 minutes after boot up, ill try open something like Google Chrome, or Windows live messanger, from there the screen will go White, and then will go black .
And recently it when Green and white lines accross the whole screen nothing to rectify this but a forced shutdown/restart .

This can happen upto 1-2 times, but hasnt happened more than that . once the PC is going after about 5 minutes or so, its sweet and runs to my hearts content . . .

fyi it gets a daily shut down of about 7-8 hours (as i am at work . so no need having it on) .

any sudgestions? my Techy friend doesnt have a Clue either .

Helpz . . .

1178157 2011-02-14 06:17:00 We built my step son one with that same motherboard, we were having the same issues so sent the motherboard back and exchanged it for an Asus M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3. Rebuilt with the new motherboard been running for a month without going wrong.

I think there must be a known issue with those motherboards as Asus just offered the exchange

1178159 2011-02-14 06:31:00 so how did you exchange it??

You would first, go to the shop you bought the board from.
Failing that, contact ASUS NZ.

Nice parts BTW.
