1177880 2011-02-13 21:16:00 Control Panel "Connect to Projector" works fine but is very tedious when I unplug and replug different projectors (or even the sameone). Has anyone found how to set Win7 so it autoconnects ?
Also if I leave the projector connected while I restart the laptop, then the display doesn't work. any ideas

1177881 2011-02-13 21:21:00 Is it a laptop? One of the function keys should cycle through the display output settings (f8?) Hopper (14491)
1177882 2011-02-13 21:38:00 Toshiba Laptop. Yes F5 is supposed to cycle through the options. But under XP it didn't matter how often I unplugged/ plugged in it was immediately available.
That's what I want back. Plus for some of our staff who are using Macs with Win7 and are users and want things simple....

1177883 2011-02-13 21:46:00 windows key + p should do it.
Also, if it's a laptop it's normally function key + f key. (like mine is FN+F4, not just f4 alone)

1177884 2011-02-13 21:52:00 Fn F5 is supposed to - just updating Toshiba drivers to see if that is the issue.
Laptop - Windows key? this is a Satellite A100.
The point is that I shouldn't have to change anything - plug and play operation required.

1177886 2011-02-13 23:35:00 Oh yes the Windows key is there - don't use that much.

To Reiterate. Under XP I could plug/unplug as often as and the projector "plug and play" functioned. No messing around clicking anything. I want to do this under Win 7 but it keeps needing to "connect to projector" P.I.T.B.
