1136789 2010-09-13 05:29:00 All this swapping ISPs etc.

Very often people jump out of the frying pan into the fire. Stayed with Telecom myself.

Remember go large...

You pay for what you get, and there is no such thing as unlimited. Even in teh US, they are moving towards caps. They also use traffic shaping, which they call by a different name, something like 'prioritize traffic'.
Heaps of threads about problems on Geekzone and trademe. They are a company I would never recommend, after the poor support I got.
I am looking at telecom, I heard that they have door knockers advertising 12 months of double your data, and no contract, which sounds good.

1136792 2010-09-13 06:08:00 Go large was actually pretty decent in the end, sure it lacked on a few things but was generally fine.

Slingshot however is rubbish. I would of thought that general browsing at least would be bearable.

We can't stay with telecom, 4 of us in the flat and all pretty heavy users so the lousy 20GB cap Telecom gave us was nowhere enough, in fact telecom don't actually offer anything worthwhile for us.

Might move I think, somewhere where Telecom can't control anything

Dude! The latency?!!

How the hell does it turn out that bad? It's 2-3 worse than one would get on dial up?
Seriously, I'd be on the phone with their technical support screaming and demanding a refund.

Not bad for Telecom. Sure, it's a capped plan, but still.

Considering I'm in the middle of nowhere...
