1179930 2011-02-20 07:44:00 Hi Everyone

I created a Web browser with Visual Basic. But I have one question, why does it always run under Internet Explorer. If I uninstall Internet Explorer then the browser does not work normally.

Please Help :thanks

1179931 2011-02-20 08:07:00 Because it'll use the Internet Explorer control to actually display web pages :) pcuser42 (130)

If I uninstall Internet Explorer then the browser does not work normally. This is because you didn't actually create a web browser; you've created a UI wrapper around the IE browser control. Obviously the IE control depends on IE being present.

No, rewriting it in another language will not help. If you wish to remove the IE dependency, you will need to use another rendering engine, or write your own.

No offense intended here, but I agree with GameJunkie - programming just doesn't seem a good fit for you.

1179939 2011-02-20 19:48:00 The main point is from earyd's post, you'll have to write your own HTML reading and writing app, not use the IE control, or web browser control I remember it being called.

So you'll have to connect to TCP, send raw post requests, and interpret then, then render them on the page....if you didn't just follow what I said, then you might want to start looking at some courses/classes.
