1180096 2011-02-21 02:43:00 Yea the Logitech MK250, while a cheap solution, works great.
I've had it working about 5m away from a PC that was on the other side of a wall so 10m should be doable.

1180097 2011-02-21 02:47:00 Which is the kb I was using. Which stupid setpoint doesnt pick up. Whether the dongle is on a cable. Or in the USB port Speedy Gonzales (78)
1180098 2011-02-21 02:56:00 The K340 and Performace MX work well with setpoint at least in my experience with it. DeSade (984)

What do you need setpoint for?
The USB dongle just plugs in and windows detects it and everything just works, no software or driver installs required.
There are no discs or anything in the box at all.

1180100 2011-02-21 03:09:00 There was software (setpoint) to make it secure. Which doesnt work. I know it works out of the box, thats not the prob Speedy Gonzales (78)

What do you mean 'make it secure'?
The MK250 desktop has 128bit AES wireless encryption already without any extra software.

1180102 2011-02-21 03:39:00 Probably so noone can find out what youre typing I guess. So, what was the point in making software then, if it supports encryption? Oh well, now I know :p But it would be nice to know when the batteries go flat (something that Setpoint will tell you, IF it worked) Speedy Gonzales (78)
1180103 2011-02-21 03:48:00 You get about 15 months use out of the keyboard batteries and well over 6 from the mouse, so you're not replacing them every other week. And I'm pretty sure a LED flashes when the battery is getting low. wratterus (105)
1180104 2011-02-21 04:03:00 Bluetooth stuff should work at that range? The Mac Keyboard + Mouse perhaps? They're nice!

+1.

Damn that mac mouse is sexy!
