1179949 2011-02-20 07:58:00 I have a machine that i have set up two users accounts on at my business - one for the boss that has full access and one for the staff that has limited access. The staff account has an email address staff@xyz.co.nz that I have set up on that user account and I have also set up access to this on the main account by changing the location stored for the main account email storage folder. This works fine as both accounts access the same email storage folder.

The only issue is that each time I switch accounts and lg onto WLM I have to re-enter the account password before it'll check emails, whereas when I only had it set up on one user account this did not happen.

Any suggestions of how to remove this ? ( and yes remember password is ticked)

Thanks

1179951 2011-02-21 09:31:00 Its possible its "by design" WLM is meant to be a single user Account.

Unlike OE, where you had "switch User" WLM doesn't have this feature. Because you are using the same storage Directory, the two may be canceling one another out. Have a read of The last answer here (social.msdn.microsoft.com) by tedferg, explains it better.

I know several of my customers have wanted private multi User Emails on the one account, but in the end, after doing a lot of investigation the easiest way was to create a new user on the PC and they have their own login & email.

Out of interest -
This works fine as both accounts access the same email storage folder. Whats the point having two user accounts on separate logins, and going to the one Store folder - both parties can see all mails anyway. Apart from the obvious the limited account cant do certain things.

If you wanted different senders available to send mail, then create another user in the same WLM account, and set one as default - then you can select the other user if needed (theres a drop down option)

I want to be able to access the emails from either account but as you said one account has full access to all areas whereas the other is restricted. The email account is for an enquiry line and its a pain to have to switch user account to check the emails if it is only set up for the limited account.
