2011-02-20 05:15:00 | Hi I have Windows 7 O.S. I am having trouble pinning items to the quick launch task bar (at the bottom of the screen) I do have about 5 items pinned in the task bar but programs like "Revo Uninstaller" and "Nvidia control panel" will not pin here or relocate from my desktop short cuts. Also the same applies to any Internet Explorer web page shortcuts. With my old Vista O.S. I could place the programs/shortcuts here. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

2011-02-20 07:57:00 | Bizarre. I just tried it. (Revo) It's a normal shortcut icon, but no, no option to pin, nor does dragging it work either. | pctek (84) | |

Right click the task bar, choose toolbars and enable the quick launch, unlock the taskbar as well and drag the side of the quick launch until it has enough room. You should then be able to drag and drop shortcuts onto it or use the quicklaunch option in some installers. Th icons are smaller but it works. |

2011-02-20 20:47:00 | Right click the task bar, choose toolbars and enable the quick launch The thing is Windows 7 hides Quick Launch by default - you have to add it manually.

2011-02-21 06:51:00 | I managed to pin "Revo Unistaller", but..... I had to change the name before I could pin same to the task bar, ie "Revo". Strange... Must be something to do with the word "unistaller" I have not yet found a solution to pin any Internet Explorer web page shortcuts. Anyone achieved this yet

2011-02-21 17:55:00 | sorry I posted from work and got it wrong. Right click the taskbar choose toolbars, new toolbar put %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch in the address bar Quick launch is now added full guide here: www.sevenforums.com just to restate, pinning things onto the task bar is not the same as using quicklaunch
