| 1180375 | 2011-02-22 02:16:00 | Just the other day my computer started to hang at "Verifying DMI pool data..." and won't go any further. I've enabled "reset configuration data" in PnP/PCI configurations which gives me "Verifying DMI pool data.. backup CMOS ok!" but still freezes. I've changed the order of what boots with no luck. Taking out the battery hasn't helped. Two things I've noticed are when going into "standard CMOS features" will freeze if I move to any of the "Primary" or "Internal" devices. also the information it gives to the right is just jibberish symbols. The other thing is when switching my RAM sticks one will give me Update success, and the other will only display "Verifying DMI pool data.." I'm pretty stumped on what to do next. I think it's either my battery or one of my memory sticks. Any suggestions? I've read through a lot of forum posts with this problem but none of them seem to have the "standard CMOS features" menu freezing. |
