Journalists are pretty shocking at identifying things and general military knowledge, especially when regarding the US Air force and why they don't do low level passes in afghanistan. apparently it's because they don't know how many stinger missiles of theirs are left in the country... If I can meet an afghan who is able to disarm the IFF (Identify friend/foe) that will enable it to lock and fire upon US aircraft I will take my hat off to them. |

| 1140166 | 2010-09-28 08:22:00 | IFF has a code which is changed everyday. I would be picking those Stingers would be past their use by date and would malfunction. Its not as if they are kept in a temp humidity controlled armory more like stacked in the corner of a cave. |
