| 1181085 | 2011-02-23 22:47:00 | Hey all, So I'm looking to upgrade my wifes phone eventually, and was looking at the Galaxy S, but they're Voda-only. Any ideas on a phone that comes with or can be upgraded to 2.2 / 2.3, has Gorilla Glass (A must coz she puts her phone in her handbag and it gets pwnd in there), and works on XT? Cheers Chill. |

I think you will find that Samsung is very tardy in doing software upgrades on the Galaxy / Captivate and the like. Unless the carriers push it it won't happen as they want to sell you the next model with 2.2 or 2.3.. |

| 1181094 | 2011-02-25 08:24:00 | Galaxy S from Bell canada, $650 (500 USD) from memory. that or you buy telecom for $999. Try Ebay for WCDMA 850MHz Galaxy S phones. Take it from me they are the ultimatum of epicness. Just don't mistake 850 GSM for 850 WCDMA on the spec sheet like I did :p |
