1182561 2011-02-28 20:44:00 I have a computer that seems to be having troubles.
I went to the Admin Tools, Event viewer and the System had a huge amount or repetitive errors.
Could someone help me discern the error log
(I tried to attach a txt file but the system said invalid file)
so I have copied just a small portion of the 154 pages - but as I said the errors repeat themselves:

1182562 2011-02-28 21:16:00 Have you looked in google to see what some of them mean , and how to fix them?

This might help with the time errors (support.microsoft.com). Is it set to the right time / timezone? Change the time / ntp server to something else under the time settings. time.windows.com I think is dead. Is this on a network / going through a server or something? 		Speedy Gonzales (78)
1182563 2011-02-28 22:38:00 Apart from the messages generated around reboot at 8:51:22, nearly all of the messages relate to your time server. Try setting it to "nz.pool.ntp.org", for instance.

There's a possibility that your firewall is blocking external NTP access; check to see if your PC's firewall (or the external router) is blocking port 123.

Actually, a closer look shows that you can't find "time.windows.com" because DNS has failed for that address (works OK for me here - the DNS lookup, anyway - my time info is coming from a MS domain controller here at work). What happens if you execute nslookup time.windows.com from a command prompt? 		MushHead (10626)

1st of all to clarify - the computer is not on the internet.
- I turned off the function to have the computer Automatically synchronize with an internet time server.
Also, it is possible having MYOB Retain Manager in the startup could have been causing errors - I have removed that from startup & will do it manually.
now it's wait & see what happens tomorrow morning.
