| 1181847 | 2011-02-27 21:01:00 | Morning all I am contracted to a non-profit org that has thousands of members. They want to offer their members a simple one-page website service (off a common template) with associated domain name and emails. Currently many of the members use Xtra types of addresses and they would like to get them to move from that. I am after recommendations of a web host who can provide this service, also allowing the org itself to invoice its members. There is potential here for maybe 500 single page websites. A freephone to call (perhaps at an extra cost) to help members setup their Outlook or solve email issues is a must - I don't want them calling me :) I would do the initial page setup for each member though, simple things like two images, a logo, contact details and a google map - nothing difficult. Please let me know if you know a company who can assist. Cheers and thanks |

I think also offer grants worldwide for non profit avenues. Then optionally connect and collaborate many of their other services, e.g Google docs, Places, Picassa online, Gmail, Apps, Calendar, Notes, Reader, etc, which are constantly updated. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||

The non-profit has their own website, but are trying to get bulk members to also get their own single page websites. I tried HD and have been dealing with them for some time now re this proposal, but got this email this morning: "At this time, Hosting Direct cannot help you with your solution. The main reason is, we are growing very quickly as an ISP, so we are focused on that instead of customer solutions." A shame as they had the perfect setup for us! |

| 1181853 | 2011-02-27 23:09:00 | What's the intent with all these websites? Won't their be duplication/limited content issues for the search engines - particularly if they all reside on the same host. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
