| 1181590 | 2011-02-26 01:18:00 | Hey my mate has just bought a WAG160N and he currently has one of the lovely single pc Thompson modems that telecom "gives" out. Is it just a simple copy the username and password over or has telecom made it harder? |

| 1181591 | 2011-02-26 01:34:00 | You may need to change the ip address of your Linksys router to 192.168.2.1 for it to work with your Thomson . | bk T (215) | ||

Is it just a simple copy the username and password over or has telecom made it harder? If swapping one for the other, yes (it should be in the form of hisid.xadsl@xtra.co.nz and his normal account password if he's with XTRA). The browser address to access the modem is 192.168.1.1, here's the user guide downloads.linksysbycisco.com If he's using the wireless side, remind him to set his security up. You may need to change the ip address of your Linksys router to 192.168.2.1 for it to work with your Thomson . Sorry, no, the WAG160n is a modem/router www.linksysbycisco.com |
