1142280 2010-10-06 23:53:00 I have had a guy from Uganda who want to buy some of my products on my website.
He wants to pay by bank transfer.
I can post them to him, but there is no tracking option available, and courier is too dear.
Would you risk it ?
The order is for about $100 plus $100 postage.

1142282 2010-10-06 23:58:00 If he's willing to pay the extra, and he does, then no problem :) SoniKalien (792)
1142283 2010-10-07 00:00:00 If he is the son of a Nigerian Princess - probably not :) :) Zippity (58)
1142284 2010-10-07 00:01:00 just make sure they dont overpay you, then ask for you to refund the overpayment utopian201 (6245)
1142285 2010-10-07 00:14:00 When the payment turns out to be fraudulent, with stolen bank a/c details , the bank will happily just demand the money is refunded , from you.

I know of this happening , person took the money (after checking with the bank
1st) then had to pay it all back 1 month later.

1142286 2010-10-07 00:18:00 You gotta be kidding right?

Scam, scam, scam.

If it's too good to be believable...

Ask yourself... why would they bother to buy from you so far away?

1142287 2010-10-07 00:20:00 Digby's products are not unique (from what I can see) but they are a little weird, availability might be quite limited. DeSade (984)

Personally I wouldn't. The country is just too high a risk, and their are far too may scams from that part of the world. Not unless they can get the money to you in some other way, as the bank could reverse the direct credit transaction at a later date, and you would be left out of pocket.
