1141464 2010-10-04 04:27:00 Hey it is the same time there as here but 12 hours behind.

It is quite comical watching these dudes in the daytime trying to get there girlfriends etc to take a photo of them crossing the crossing.

It is just a couple of blocks from Maida Vale where my uncle lives. Not too far from Lords Cricket Ground I believe.

Aren't they on GMT? Or does the 0º line run to the other side?

Perhaps down the middle of the street. I just Googled GMT/UTC/Mercator and I guess the whole island is on the same time. Funny - I had the idea that the line was through the observatory and everybody on one side was at one time and the other side was different.

I think I saw that picture on an album cover somewhere.

That's how I feel about a lot of the attractions in SoCal here around me too. I also live in Arizona and never went to the Grand Canyon and it's only 40 miles from my place.

The 'Lords' here keep Lewinskys and Brits only keep crickets? Sounds unfair.

1141469 2010-10-04 17:56:00 UK time is currently 12 hours behind as they are still on BST (British Summer Time) and have not moved to GMT yet. The Greenwich meridian is just that a meridian it is not like the date line nor dos it signify different time zones as the UK is too small for that gary67 (56)
