2011-03-07 04:33:00 | I don't see why not, the eicfg removal utility toggles the ei.cfg file on/off when pointed at the Windows 7 SP1 ISO. I think that is what you mean ? Trying it now :D Created new ISO with SP1 slipstreamed, ran the eicfg tool and it said that it removed it. Just making a bootable USB stick with the ISO and then I'll try it. Edit: I checked the USB stick after and the eif.cfg file is still there so I'll just test it anyway btu I'm sure I will have to delete it manually.

2011-03-07 04:50:00 | So no it just wanted to install Home Premium so I deleted the ei.cfg file manually and booted again and now it gives me the option of which OS to install so I selected Pro, since I created a Home Premium ISO in RT7Lite, so I'll let it install now just to make sure it all works OK. It looks like the eicfg removal tool may not actually work with a SP1 ISO.

2011-03-07 05:42:00 | It looks like the eicfg removal tool may not actually work with a SP1 ISO. It does work on a ISO's with SP1 From Microsoft - had to do it myself the other week. Just finished trying the RT Seven with W7 32bit, this time it did work, and installed Fine. Dont know if it was the PC or not, but appeared to take a long time to integrate the Service pack. Something obviously went wrong with the 64Bit.

2011-03-07 20:31:00 | Well I installed Win7 Pro from the Home Premium SP1 ISO I made and it doesn't have SP1 installed once Windows is finished installing! Just going to try Home Premium and make sure SP1 is there.

2011-03-07 23:41:00 | You may find that RT Seven will only integrate SP1 for the Version you select, even after making the ISO Universal. 4 Ways I see of doing it: Wait till MS deliver OEM DVDS with SP1 already installed, make an ISO , remove the version restriction = Universal DVD Make seperate DVD's of each version with Sp1 using RT Seven If you have a Technet or MSDN Sub, download X86 & X64 DVD/ISO with SP1 already in it, remove the ei.cfg file = universal DVD Use WAIK and make your own, it "should" integrate SP1 into all the images, as thats what its designed to do, along with MANY other tasks. Have not tried the last option 4 no time to play about with that currently.

Hopefully a new d/l will work sarel This is the file for 64 bit OS...windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe 903.2MB This is the file for 32 bit OS....windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe 537.8MB Get from here: www.microsoft.com You just have to validate first after clicking on Continue. Edit: assumed you meant Sevice Pack 1, I see Wainuitech below points to the versions of RT7Lite you need. |

2011-03-08 07:33:00 | OK - For the RT 7 Make sure you dont use the early versions: go to the Download Page HERE (www.rt7lite.com) - Scroll down near the bottom, there are two download options - both are version 2 beta (2.6.0) - select the one for your needs, either x86 (32bit) or x64. Check you should have the Service Pack (www.microsoft.com) , either the x86 or x64 ( bottom ones in that list) you shouldn't have to download them again if you do. One thing to make sure of - make sure you are using the correct versions, meaning either x86 OR x64 ( in RT 7 & service Pack) you HAVE to use which ever version you are trying to slipstream, you cant use the x86 to slip stream the x64.
