1141943	2010-11-08 03:22:00	YAY!!!! Pctek has communications again. BIG ENORMOUS huge thanks to BoB_Doe_NZ and R2x1 for their help - couldn't have done it without you. And for the nibbles thanks BoB_Doe_NZ, that was dinner.!!!!!!! Bob_doe_Nz is the man. I owe him one hugely. And R2x1 of course. Thanks to those who offered also. What a mission. Spent Friday on the phones to lawyers. Couldn't move, didn't get settlement. Issue with oven not working which previous owners denied. Also previous owners had almost a mortgagee sale so cannot pay theirs off, so mortgage hasn't been discharged yet so we can't add ours. So they went on penalty for not settling on the day so let us in Saturday to escape penalties while whatever happens at their end. Moved stuff, friends helped clean here then helped clean the other end (ex-rental). Landlord who was an *&%%# decides its not been cleaned and will deduct entire bond of $1050. Thats another fight later. Oven guy came round today as previous owners decided they wouldn't replace it. He tells me it's all blown up due to the electrocuted cockroaches in it. Shows me, and takes pictures. I send pics to lawyer, he sends them to his office. Took many parts to repair etc and his bill to previous owners will be $500+ Meanwhile, Vodafone who had 3 weeks notice of my move hadn't logged it. I discover this last weekend, so sorry, rush job on. This morning no phone, no net and my cellphone ceases to work. Why? They say I didn't pay Octobers bill. Wrong. I did. Can I prove it, no cause I can't go online to bank to see exact day as my NET DOESN"T WORK! Never mind, going crazy, pay bill again over phone with Visa. Will fight that later too. Meanwhile no ETA for landline and internet. Ring Telecom at 10:30am, when can I get phone? 12 noon. Done, sign me up. And yep, 12 noon it was. Internet? Possibly 7pm tonight. But no, look its NOW!!!!! So the hell with Vodafone. Another thing, remember the dead modem saga? Using shiny new ASUS modem as we speak. Lets see if it dies in a few weeks, however, remember old dial phone that wouldn't break dial tone when you tried to dial out - off Vodafones **** equipment??? Well it dials happily now, breaks dial tone, all cured and working well. Hmmmmmmmm.	pctek (84)
