| 1182145 | 2011-02-28 23:07:00 | have you tried a hard reset before you attempt to get the GUI thru 192.168.1.254 there should be a small hole at the back - with the modem on, put a pencil point or similar in the hole and press gently and hold in till the power light turns red... about 6 or 7 seconds. Then try http://192.168.1.254/ if that ip doesnt seem to be right, go to start menu - bring up the run box and type in cmd to get a prompt type ipconfig and then see what the Default Gateway ip is and try that |

I wish I could mark this as solved, but he said it took a lot of fiddling and can't recall exactly how it was done. He certainly read this thread before starting.
