has any one imported camcorders from USA to New Zealand and struck any problems with anything, including playback, editing etc. thanks. |

Probably wont have probs with recording or editing. Depends on how you connect it to a PC (what kind of connection it has (ie: USB, firewire, or other). When you go to edit it. |

Remember, if you import a new camcorder, then you will have to pay GST on it when it arrives. |

I brought a entry level Aiptek (www.aiptek.com/) camcorder from ebay York a few years back far cheaper than similar models here at the time. Worked good, but "dated" quickly, and ended up as a kid's toy to play with. Not sure if you can make savings for main stream camcorders/cameras (I found no real savings for branded camera's), maybe just on cheap or premium models and accessories. |
