1183805 2011-03-05 08:13:00 When ever I start my PC, I get nothing showing on start up. I press the reset button and the PC to starts. Before it does, I get *system overclock fail* on screen and it says press F1 to continue.

Does anybody know what is happening?

1183806 2011-03-05 08:33:00 Did you overclock any settings / anything? If you did, go into the BIOS and set everything back to the defaults Speedy Gonzales (78)

1183808 2011-03-05 08:39:00 I haven't touched a thing. Heres a picture of the error I get.

Thought it was an overclock error.

1183809 2011-03-05 08:45:00 Seeing as it also doesnt know what AMD cpu you've got, I'd say your CMOS battery may have gone flat.
Have you tried what Speedy suggested?

I dont need to know what CPU it has, I told you that because that is a symptom of a flat battery.
It may not hold those default settings if you dont replace the battery.

1183812 2011-03-05 08:58:00 It looks like you should be using 5001 (the beta BIOS), for that CPU. According to the ASUS site

Phenom IIX2 550( HDX550WFK2DGM),3.1GHz,512KB,rev.C3,80W,SocketAM3 ALL 5001.

Update the BIOS. Yours is 2302 (the last non beta BIOS)

1183813 2011-03-05 08:58:00 So what type of battery do I need to buy?

Speedy, don't know what bios is currently in it. July last year is when I got the CPU put in.
