1183059 2011-03-02 21:03:00 Hi, I bought a geforce 7300 graphics card and when I install it I get a no signal message on my monitor. My computer meets the minimum system requirements. My power supply is 500w. My motherboard is Asus model A7n8x-E. I uninstalled the drivers for the old card prior to installation. This is driving me nuts. I bought a game I wanted to play and it said my video card wasn't good enough so I went and bought a new video card and that said my power supply wasn't good enough so I bought a new one. Any Ideas?

ps I lost the receipt from tiger direct so I don't think I can return card.

1183060 2011-03-02 21:43:00 Okay, you get no video signal at all?, even while BIOS is posting? What type on connection are you using?, the 7300 is a low range card, I dont even think it needs the extra power cable.
Possibility DOA card!

1183062 2011-03-02 22:42:00 DOA = dead on arrival, can you test it in another computer. If not you might have to get it replaced gary67 (56)

VGA\DVI\HDMI\Display port? (though doubt 7300 has the last 2)...have you tried resetting the card in the slot?
Sounds like it dead on arrival to me!

1183064 2011-03-02 23:18:00 It says there's a lifetime warranty but when I call the # there is no answer and the website doesn't work, hmmm, It's BFG Tech. I will try the card in another computer. The bus type is AGP. marymaryg4321 (16264)

BFG is history. Lifetime warranty doesn't mean yours - it means the lifetime of the product, which in a graphics card is anything from 1 year to 3.

A 7300 isn't good enough either and AGP is ancient history. All graphics cards now are PCI-E.

What is the game you want to play?

1183066 2011-03-02 23:33:00 Did you plug the molex power connector in to the card? inphinity (7274)
1183067 2011-03-03 00:15:00 The games are Spore & Starcraft 2. Yes I plugged in the cord leading to the monitor if thats what you mean. I just bought the card a few months ago. I think I have to get AGP for my computer so if it's ancient history i'm stuck with it. marymaryg4321 (16264)
1183068 2011-03-03 00:33:00 No, I don't mean did you plug the monitor in, did you plug the power connector in to the graphics card? I wouldn't expect SC2 to perform playably on this machine, though. inphinity (7274)
