1143738 2010-10-11 18:16:00 Kiwi Tony Newton has a fasination with dangerous LASERs, The most powerful legal laser-pointer is 5 milliWatt, Tony imported a 300mW laser and built NZ's first LASER-Harp. Capable of blinding anyone foolish or unlucky enough to look directly into the beam, this has got to be the most dangerous musical instrument available. Jeff McClintock tests the prototype...

I've played with an infrared harp, years ago. Makes this a little pointless.

1143741 2010-10-11 21:13:00 Did I not see something like that at Metallica? --Wolf-- (128)
1143742 2010-10-11 21:19:00 Nah, the two are a little different, for a start, at metallica the beam was a hellova lot bigger (at one point I looked at the endpoint, it was aligned to the concrete support under the VIP boxes, and each beam was about the size of a 21in TV screen).

This harp is a bit smaller, and has a feedback mechanism.
