Under BIOS. If you've got a USB flash drive, unzip the BIOS then copy it to it. Then use EZ-flash 2 in the BIOS to flash it

How do I flash the bios? Can it be done via windows?

1183818 2011-03-05 09:18:00 Dont do it in windows. You've got more chance of killing it

Unzip the BIOS file copy it to a USB flash drive. Reboot go into the BIOS. Put the flash drive in a USB port. Go to the EZ flash option in the BIOS. Point it to the flash drive / BIOS update (make sure its unzipped). And make sure its (the flash drive) is formatted in FAT / FAT32 (NTFS wont work). Wait for it to finish flashing the BIOS

1183819 2011-03-05 09:22:00 Right I have done that Speedy. QW. (15883)
1183820 2011-03-05 09:25:00 Thats it. If its flashed the BIOS. Reboot go back into the BIOS and set it back to the default settings. Then reconfigure the settings / save settings, then reboot. Then see how it goes Speedy Gonzales (78)
1183821 2011-03-05 09:26:00 Well I have rebooted the PC and I don't have to hit the reset button to get the PC to start.

And its coming up with the CPU model. In System via the control panel it is also showing the CPU model.

1183822 2011-03-05 09:31:00 Thats because the BIOS (5001) supports the CPU you've installed. I would say thats why that message appeared (it was a CPU the system didnt support / it didnt know what it was with BIOS 2302). Thats good its meant to show the CPU model under system Speedy Gonzales (78)
1183823 2011-03-05 09:36:00 It was always an unknown CPU under system. QW. (15883)
1183824 2011-03-05 09:39:00 Well like I said, because you've updated the BIOS to 5001 (which supports that CPU, with 2302 it didnt, because 2302 didnt support / didnt know what that CPU was). Thats why its showing the right model / speed of the CPU on the post screen and in windows. Speedy Gonzales (78)
