Open Word > Insert > Picture > Clipart and a box should open on the right to search for "Bloodhound" or whatever. Choose the Pic you want from the dropdown list.

What software and Version are you using to write the book?

It wont be XP Word but is likely to be Word 2003. I don't know how MS will feel but if you are going to manipulate the Image using Paint or Irfanview for example then I assume it won't be the same image will it?

Otherwise visit Zoo with digital camera and take your own Pics maybe.

A PM follows.

1144022 2010-10-16 00:46:00 Be careful of using images from google - you may face copyright issues.

An alternative would be to ask a starving artist (like me :D) to do some for you. For a book, and a series of images, you would something consistent and original.

Imoho clipart will always look like clipart :p

The question then has to be asked. If you are a good Artist then why are you starving?

And what would you expect PJ to pay you for a series of your output per Pic?

It is correct that copyright issues have to be considered if using any images gleaned from the net etc.
