1143589 2010-10-11 20:23:00 "I could never figure out why Whangarei more or less booted him out. Look what he has done for Invers."

You've got me puzzled. Tim Shadbolt has never lived in Whangarei, or been Mayor of this fine City. There was a suggestion at one stage, when he lost the mayoralty of Waitamata City as it was then, that he stand in Whangarei, but this never eventuated. So he was never booted out from here.

Waitemata City was the earlier version of Waitakere City, before Helensville and New Lynn were incorporated.

1143590 2010-10-11 20:36:00 Three people!!!!????

I'm flat out trying to think of just one to who I will give my vote come the next General election. Now if Paul Henry were to stand in my electorate he might be worth a shot but he may be too honest for most.

1143591 2010-10-11 20:44:00 Tim Shadbolt was a good mayor in Waitemata, my mate put the tow bar on the council Daimler to tow concrete mixer.
But he couldnt win against the Dally and Lebanese mafia here.

1143593 2010-10-11 20:46:00 I'm completely at a loss to name three. Isn't that a poor state of affairs!

Sir Ed perhaps, but he's deceased.

Spongebob!

Sir Peter Jackson would have got a mention if he hadn't gone silly with his expensive indulgences.

Richard Long if he was still a public figure.

Peter Williams hasn't put his foot wrong over many years.
