Its a good job this site is only a Forum, and not a physical place - I'll let you figure out why ;) pressf1.co.nz Metla summed it up nicely in that post. #6 I'm sure the mods have cold chills when his name is mentioned (no I dont mean Chilling_Silence either) :p If only people would learn not to feed the trolls no matter what side they back they might give up. So many fed winmacguy it is no wonder he couldn't stop. Some of the feeders were almost as bad as him. I remember a Don Mitchell ( or a very similar name) who was an MS troll on ZDNet about ten years ago and still going I think. He was just as bad if not worse than winmacguy. Every forum seems to have one or two. |

He'd never be violent himself, but he could talk other people into a rage. I nearly knocked his block off once and had to be restrained. He laughed hard, because he'd got what he wanted. And if you challenged him on his behaviour he could rattle of a long list if things he "hadn't" done, so that on paper he looked as clean as the driven snow. It amused him to cause other people to loose their cool. I guess he felt it granted him some kind of superiority. But there's nothing superior about deliberately setting out to inflame others. It's a cheap thrill and a hollow victory. Woah I never knew I went to school with Bruce. Also, I'm pretty sure WMG is still around, just a touch more subtle. |
