1142490 2010-10-08 01:03:00 I'd just tell them "This conversation will be recorded for training purposes".

1142491 2010-10-08 01:59:00 The call lasted for about 5 mins and I was aware from the very start that this could be a scam and was waiting for them to ask me for my credit card number. Even the background sounds were as if it was coming from a call centre with other people talking in the background.

1142493 2010-12-16 01:32:00 My wife just had a call similar to Trev's.
Saying she was due a refund of overcharged fees, but was offered a cheque to be payed to our address. They stated the address & asked her to confirm it & said they would sent it out. Five minutes later they called again & I got the call. They asked for my wife & I asked if this was a scam, silence, when I asked for their contact details they hung up. I am hopping they don't have enough info to do their thing & the second call was to get that.

1142495 2010-12-16 02:29:00 I built a little circuit that hooks up the phone jack to my sound card input.

Unfortunately none of these clowns ever ring up so I never get a chance to use it!!

Interesting how these people do not want to be contacted or traced.

1142497 2010-12-16 08:05:00 Yeah because then some people would track them down and break their legs. Agent_24 (57)
1142498 2010-12-16 08:16:00 Last time I had a (legitimate) phone call from someone saying they worked at my bank, I asked them to tell me the last 4 digits of my customer number to verify that they were who they said they were. somebody (208)
