| 1142371 | 2010-10-07 05:26:00 | I wouldn't say chasing votes, --going by the article (if you can) he's just a concerned parent, and its a shame his son got caught up in it all, being the Auckland City Mayor wouldn't exactly help. As he stated "binge drinking was wrong". To many younger people think it's fun to get plastered to the point of death. Nothing wrong with drinking, I think most of us have been a bit to happy:waughh: at one time or another, but when it gets to a point of self poisoning, thats a bit over the top. |

At least his presence may have taken some of the media heat off the family... As far as 'chasing votes' is concerned: too little, too late. Postal voting closed yesterday and you have to visit a polling place if you still want to vote - until Saturday, I think... Anyone that was going to vote already has. |
