1184349 2011-03-08 03:16:00 I am stuck at school installing windows 7  and I came across something to fix .

It's a sanyo plc-sw15 data projector, and whenever something is plugged into the 'computer in' input the image gets all quivery and jumpy . It only occurs on the digital inputs (component video) and not composite video in or s-video .

I have pressed reset on the back and the only material i can find is the manual .

1184350 2011-03-08 03:21:00 Can you try a different cable and different device with digital output? SolMiester (139)
1184351 2011-03-08 03:35:00 It is not the cable as I have used 3 brand new cables. I have used my laptop on it with s-video no problems, same with the DVD player, which also works with composite. However when I connected the player to the projector with component, it was the same flickery image. I hope to post images. bot (15449)

1184353 2011-03-08 06:38:00 try set the resolution and the refresh rate manually. Had the same prob with at Eki projector (very old mind)

It took a lot of fiddling but eventually at a res of about 640x something and an unusual refresh rate it worked

I did try that and it didn't work.

It has only been doing that for a short while

According to this, it doesn't do digital, only analogue, also only 4:3 aspect ratio (maybe you're trying to display widescreen input?); does it have a pal/ntsc setting?
Maybe it needs repair?

1184356 2011-03-09 01:18:00 Just shooting in the dark here, but maybe there's a dodgy connection between the component video socket (is this the D-shaped VGA connector or something else?) and the rest of the electronics of the projector? mookster1 (15854)
1184357 2011-03-09 02:44:00 If it's a new problem then I guess some fault in the video processing circuitry probably Agent_24 (57)
1184358 2011-03-09 03:15:00 D-sub VGA is analogue, Component is also analogue. Just FYI.
DVI & HDMI are digital
