Husband is happy, kids happily married, forth year of travelling around NZ in our motorhome free as birds. XT modem working well alone and with the NetComm travel router. Life is good... and a darn sight better than the alternative. |

I'm peeved from only having two days off a week as it is (I'm only supposed to have two days on!), going down to one, it's just not cool. It wouldn't be so bad if it was actually worth anything, but since it's a short shift, I stand to make a whopping $78 gross. Might make enough this week to have a forced repayment on my student loan! |

This quotation is from an unknown American author, but relevant here: Perhaps the most annoying moments in the news hour are the little moments of conviviality and chit-chat between members of the news team, the little asides of mutual congratulation and gratitude and commiseration (with the various victims in the day's news) that are supposed to make us see how wonderfully human the newscasters are. :mad: |
