PJ It's ok, i have rosetta stone. just know it would help a lot to have someone to talk to, would help with fluency, regardless of what method i use to learn the language. And I can speak 2 languages also: English and Whale. Beat that :) |

Haha yeah, was born in Indonesia, lived there for 9 years, came to NZ, got our citizenship about 6 years ago, and been here for nearly 11 years now. |

He taught me a few words, how to count and what his mother was saying when we used to see each other and chat on the porch together. Mostly it was chong tai which means go home or b...... off. That was Hong Kong Chinese. Mandarin is the most common, but there are so many different dialects. LL |

So you ARE a KIWI then!! Now be prepared to be sub classified unfortunately. You are either an Aucklander or from the rest of NZ. or You are North Is or South Is. or You are Anglican, Catholic, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic etc. and Infinitum. Personally I see no reason for the sub classifications. Those are what divide us Kiwis. |

My accent for example, some view points etc. Some Asian Kiwis want to lose their accent but really they're just trying hard to be something they're not. I'm not fussed about my accent, which can apparently just 'disappear' or be as heavy as to require me to repeat what I say several times. :S |
