The IT guys gave me an admin password etc to do what ever I wanted, but it in fact has not got full rights to do much.

So thee questions:
1. I want to just do a full reinstall of win xp pro, will I encounter any issues with not having the administrator password?

2. Is there cheap xp pro disc or is it standard pricing everywhere?

It probably has group policy restrictions in place.....wipe and do a clean install!

1. No.
2. Talk to someone who sells ex-lease computers (ie on trademe), they have loads of unused xp COA's, and they might even give you one for free, dont pay more than $10 or $20 for one though; then you can just copy or download an xp disc and use the legit COA.
