| 1147448 | 2010-10-25 20:48:00 | I get this::: Windows does not recognize 'dir'. Don't bother - SoniKalien's suggestion won't achieve what you're after anyway, so no point wasting your time on it. |

| 1147449 | 2010-10-25 23:00:00 | Er... no, it's not actually. Your solution is useless for what SJ wants. Do you have a better idea then? I'm just trying a workaround and possibly simple enough method to achieve what SJ wants - a txt file with a list based on file types, wether its .wma or .mp3s At least Im trying to help... |

| 1147450 | 2010-10-25 23:09:00 | I get this::: Windows does not recognize 'dir'. Not sure why you get that. Anyway my code was wrong - apologies it's been a while since I did this .. :p it should be eg (in a command prompt window) dir *.wma > list.txt once you've found your way into the right directory :) if you have mp3's then use *.mp3 |

Except you probably should be looking for *.WMA instead of *.WMP maybe? :devil |

| 1147453 | 2010-10-25 23:47:00 | JOE - My Apologies - that program will only print out playlists, not the folder contents. If you had all your music organised in playlists it will work fine. If you want to print off the folder contents and not to keen on DOS, then Karen's Directory Printer (www.karenware.com) works fine. You just have to adjust The options (www.imagef1.net.nz) - other wise you get all sorts of info. Other method instead of navigating can be done by selecting the folder by right click print with DirPrint. Or save it to your PC/ Flash Drive with the save option. |

| 1147454 | 2010-10-26 05:05:00 | Just got back to the 'puter desk here - there appears to be some changes and revisions and updates. Let me get a little sleep and get back at this in the AM. We had huge winds today and I was running all over covering our woodpiles from the driving rain and hail. Fall is here I think. Yeah - 0h fer sure! It'll be over 100ºF on Wednesday, just watch. |

OK - this doesn't get me what I want either . There must be something 'L' in it somewhere . I'm going to try the WMP v11 again and I've got good backup in a satellite hdd for safety . I just thought I could have a hard copy list of the 11,200 MP3s I have on the legacy hdd . The last time I used v11, it barfed at the high number of entries, but I get reports that it should work with 100 as well as 14,000,000 just the same, only the speed of the listing should suffer with that much data . |
