1147093 2010-10-24 06:13:00 SJ - here's the plot of the movie:
A TV network hires actor Kevin Smith to front a documentary about a town divided by an unusual discovery. Gooey Duck - a shellfish with reputed aphrodisiac (as in Viagra) qualities - has appeared off Ureroa. The quota is owned by a local couple but the rest of the town, big business, the government and the local iwi all have their own ideas. Smith's involvement gets complicated when he innocently consumes the mollusk while watching Prime Minister Jenny Shipley on TV. The medium, celebrity, small town NZ, gender, politics and penises are all satirised.

The fictional town of Ureroa is aptly named ... Ure is maori for penis, roa maori for tall, upstanding. If you get the drift. In the real world, we actually have a small township called Urenui. Ure, we've talked about already, nui appended to it (pardon the expression), means "large".

:D :D

If you want to watch  the excerpt, click Ure whatever (www.nzonscreen.com)

Is that totally a NZ movie production? I'm kinda surprised that the Maori language is like Latin. Must've been some Roman galleons invaded there at one time or another.
