1146961 2010-10-22 15:25:00 Youse guys wuz so good at finding the actual URL for an embedded link that I could play in WMP a bunch of years ago, but now I need to find it in here.

This is one of my favorite San Diego Jazz stations, and on Mondays at Midnight to 2AM, I have a couple of BLUES cuts with me on bass that they play ever so infrequently (I might add) and I would like to get this into my WMP ver10.

I've C/Pd till my fingers are red - and I wonder if anyone can find the URL in this one now:::

Here's the actual link if you would like to hear it for yourselves::: jazz88.org -- and NO that will NOT run in WMP without the add-on, and that's not what I want.

1146962 2010-10-22 17:59:00 Try pointing your player at http://wmc1.den.liquidcompass.net/ - that appears to provide two MMS streams of some kind; I assume that one is backup for the other.

I don't have WMP handy to test it with, but they do look like WMP streams.

Edit: VLC can't play them - how's WMP coping? 		Erayd (23)
1146963 2010-10-22 20:40:00 Tried that one too - and I get the WMP error box saying it cannot play that URL or whatever.

I have all the protocols enabled and even went back and re-installed all of them and still no.

HTTP SHOULD work - as I have others that are running OK - just this one won't. 		SurferJoe46 (51)

1146967 2010-10-23 16:24:00 Well - I tried to paste that into the FILE>>ADD URL>> area, and then play it and WMP says it doesn't recognize the protocol and that I can ask for help online (yeah, sure!) or close that notification.

THEN - I just took the link you sent, right clicked it on this site and told WMP to open the file and it works.

HOWEVER - WMP cannot save that URL and I have to keep the link pasted in a file folder on the desktop to access it when I want to listen to it.

Kinda the long way around, methinks - but do-able. 		SurferJoe46 (51)
