| 1186948 | 2011-03-17 08:47:00 | Hi im having some trouble with my internet connection, it drops after about 2 minutes when playing on xbox live and it varies when using the computer. We are with Woosh dsl 30gb plan and are using the supplied netgear modem at the moment. We have four phone jacks. I have tried with four different modems a linksys wag200g, a dlink adsl, a dynalink modem and the suppied one all have the same problem. Every phone jack has a filter on it. One thing I have noticed is when the phone is left on the internet doesn't turn off but this isn't really convenient because nobody can call us and the phone battery just runs out. Any help is much appreciated! Cheers Mack. | masterofpuppets (16280) | ||

| 1186952 | 2011-03-17 09:19:00 | Yeah the xbox is fine worked well at the old place and the computer is having problems too but I think it is the line. I heard something about needing a different installation if you have 4 or more phone jacks? The internet is nice and fast when it is connected, my dad is in Christchurch he works for the police and he doesn't want me to ring the woosh support until he gets back. I think he wants to deal with it himself. Cheers | masterofpuppets (16280) | ||
| 1186953 | 2011-03-17 09:29:00 | Could be the phones. Or the filter/s | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

That'll give us a relatively good indication if somethings up with your line. These may be worth a bit of a read too: www.c2s.co.nz www.c2s.co.nz |

I might as well just let him deal with the customer service if he wants to its not like I can understand a thing they say anyway. A screenshot of the connection settings shows line noise etc i1232.photobucket.com What does this mean exactly? Phone left on??? And turn internet off?? Broadband is always on. There is no off. The dsl line drops after a few minutes use no matter what router and has to reconnect. The dsl line doesn't drop when the phone is on like when you press the talk button on the phone or lift the reciever. I know it isn't the line filters because I have tried the so called isolation test and still has the same problem. Cheers |
