| 1149094 | 2010-11-01 07:27:00 | The main reason not to use them is that their so-called help desk staff are a bunch of psychotic clowns!! well, thats one reason, i wouldnt say main reason, but a lot of them have no idea what theyre doing. Heres a rundown of the reasons: they frequently make promises and not keep them they are under-trained the connection is bad they use 'prioritising' which is a nicer way of saying 'throttling' they take a long time to do things if you make a formal complaint, they wont give you a ref number and then they'll never get back to you (even a month later, and even after follow up calls are made to them) their customer service is designed to attract new customers, not to assist current customers they'll tell you you can have services on your urban line, then call you 3 weeks later to say that your urban line can't have the services ("oh sorry you need a rural subscription to get naked dsl, and thats gonna cost an extra $20") to name a few. i hope these posts are high on google results, and i hope potential customers see this so they can steer clear before getting locked in a 24month contract |

I would only go with an ISP that is part of the telecommunication disputes tribunal system. |
