1147874 2010-10-27 08:17:00 I hear that making a flash drive swap partition ("virtual RAM") will kill it really good. Which makes me wonder: does Windows' ReadyBoost do that to flash drives too?
I would imagine so... but i've heard readyboost is a waste of time and can actually slow your computer down very slightly in some areas. I cant test with my 16bg cos it only transfers files at 6mb/s for some reason

Someone told me that they're a load of crap, most USB flash drives start to lose data after 1-2 years.

LOL< just had a call from Dr who said his PC had a problem couldn't it wouldn't see it. Told him to get another and try - oh look that one works.

But...it worked yesterday.....

How old is it now? 6 years.....LOL, he thought they lasted forever.
