1189052 2011-03-24 17:22:00 Okay! So after investigating where the noise in the morning is coming from it is with curtain that the noise is the PSU fan, so not the CPU as previously suspected..
I have looked at the PSU Power supply from the inside and it says..
"ISO Switching Power Supply" 420W (Probably some cheap generic brand lol)
I have tried googling this brand without luck..

What to do now?? Should I replace the fan only?? Or the whole thing??
I don have a lot of knowledge about the power supplies but my first thought was just to replace the fan (If it is that easy that is!)
Any suggestions??

1189053 2011-03-24 19:02:00 You can replace the fans but I'd throw it and buy a decent, quality PSU. pctek (84)
1189054 2011-03-24 19:35:00 Changing a PSU fan can be easy - depends on how they are attached.

Some simply have a plug that you pull out, unscrew the fan and replace - others have the leads soldered to a circuit board, which is a little more time consuming and you need some soldering skills to replace.

1189057 2011-03-24 21:05:00 Corsair is a good brand, Silvertone also. If budget is a concern and it's not a high end PC then coolermaster and AcBel have PSU's under $100 that are ok - probably exagerate their rating like all cheapie PSU's though.

I have a Silverstone strider 600W that had the factory fan go faulty, I soldered a 3 pin socket into the 2 wires attached to the circuit board and plugged a spare case fan I had lying around into it. It probaly spins at a different speen and moves a different amount of air to the original but it's been working for more than a year :) I can now also plug any 3 pin fan in if it ever fails again.
