1150285 2010-11-13 06:11:00 Quantas has never had a fatal crash.

But they have had a lot of incidents over the last few years.

I would not fly with them.

1150286 2010-11-13 08:08:00 Even flying white knuckle airlines like Garuda its still a zillion times more dangerous driving to the airport
I would fly with anyone anytime if its cheap. If its time for me to go in a CBD (crash burn die) then so be it.

1150287 2010-11-15 18:08:00 And another incident today (smoke in the cockpit)

They seem to have more incidents than every other airline in the world combined !

No dire results me thinks?

If I landed and all that happened was a smokey cabin I would be happy.

Not quite true Digby, Qantas has never had a fatal "jet" accident.
You should be careful about getting your facts from a movie; they are not always true.

What a load of **** .
Pilot might have to earn his keep, the flight controls and hydraulics dont need any electricity all solenoids default to a safe position as they would if the solenoid burnt out.
Orville and Wlibur managed it ok
