1188566 2011-03-23 00:55:00 depends on the type of backup, it's unlikely an infection would find it's way into an existing system image file for example but it will get backed up with everything else with system restore and also any scheduled backups that occur after the infection. Any write enabled folder on your system could theoretically get infected.

It's almost funny in a way but you can remove a virus from your system then get it back by reverting to an earlier backup from when you were infected....
