This bit gets me!

He has also addressed the issue of his alcohol abuse.
"He now understands that he has to regard himself as an alcoholic and will never drink again," the Parole Board report said.
"He tells us that he is assisted in that regard because the medication he is on for a serious heart condition and other health matters prevents him from drinking but it is clear to us that a special condition that he not consume or possess alcohol or illicit drugs for the whole of his life will be essential in his case."

How can this be?

21 years in Paremoremo, NZ’s highest security jail and the Parole board say he is still an Alcoholic and Drug Addict.

Seems you don't miss out on much in Jail these days!

1150411 2010-11-04 22:34:00 Well once a addict always a addict, there is never a cure and from what I hear its very easy to fall off the wagon. DeSade (984)
1150412 2010-11-05 01:06:00 I have a relation who is considered an alcoholic even though they drunk very little earlier in their life. They have an addictive nature and this leads to an addiction to many things not just alcohol. There is no cure. AvonBill (11358)

Thats sooo funny!

Lets see, he sexually assaults a woman, gets bailed, goes on the run, kills, now he's out on parole... sounds safe, because electronic monitoring is totally foolproof, it's not like you can buy a GPS blocker on the internet for less than $30... wait...
