| 1461266 | 2019-06-06 09:59:00 | The Black Caps played very well against Bangladesh. Their fielding was very good and they managed a good innings with a final score of 248-8. Top scorer Ross Taylor with 82. Very well done. Well worth watching. But I did not watch it live - I would not have lasted the distance - I recorded it and watched it this evening. But I have a question. I saw something that I have never seen before. One of the umpires had something strapped to his arm. It looked to be made out of perspex, was as wide as his arm with a circular piece at the end by his hand and the circular piece had holes in it. It looked like some sort of guard, but why would an umpire require a guard? Do you have any idea what it is? I would be interested to know. |
