Firefox sprung up with a new option a few days back , over the weekend from memory, they have a new service to send files, upto 2.5GB and you can password protect as well.

Works quite well, sent various items including programs, pictures and documents to various people so far with no problems.

Also like the idea of being able to set auto deletion after X number of downloads or Days, no sign ups ( even though theres a option to sign in - never have so far and each one sent works).

Lot easier and quicker than Google Drive for short term sending.

1461061 2019-05-30 01:13:00 I thought you had "given up" on Firefox... Mostly I have, but there are some shortcuts on that I use which other browsers don't have from time to time. Only opened it to get any newer updates, and the message advertising the send page sprung up into view.

You can open the site from any browser, doesn't have to be Firefox. Of course its still linked to trackers but hey, we all know many places track a person so what the hell.

What I was thinking is if anyone on PF1 was to be sent a link it would be a lot easier then having to use other online storage places, it can be password protected so a PM could be sent along with the link or made public so anyone could obtain it. BUT of course it has time limits to availability. The 2.5GB is a reasonably good size for a free option as well.

1461063 2019-05-30 05:41:00 yea - it does seem a very convenient way to send things places Just discovered today when sending a exe file to someone, The default options 1 download or 1 day before expiring you don't need to sign in. If you want to alter the times for longer, then you need to sign in. wainuitech (129)
