1458171 2019-02-12 23:19:00 I am Win 10 Home 64 bit Build 1803. I use 4 different Browsers including Edge.

Recently I updated Firefox 64.02 (Quantum) to Firefox 65.0 (Quantum).

Icons for each of the 2 versions show in my Start menu . The top one is 64.02 and bottom 65.0.

When I go to Uninstall -Windows or IObit Uninstaller only 1 version (65.0) shows.

Both Start menu icons if clicked on go directly to Firefox 65.0 and run naturally.

How can I remove the Icon for Firefox 64.02 from my list in Start Menu?

1458172 2019-02-13 01:37:00 I have that problem with CCleaner and I just right click and delete one of them off the start menu. Lurking (218)
1458173 2019-02-13 02:07:00 Can you post a screen shot, depending on where they are ( start menu can actually be on the right hand side or vertical).

Or you may need to reconstruct the start memu, follow these instructions social.technet.microsoft.com

In the comments:

From File Explorer, copy and paste into Address Bar.

%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Locate the Firefox Shortcut - Delete.

1458174 2019-02-15 22:37:00 Hi Lurking , I had initially hoped for the right click option but no option appeared.

Wainui I tried your paths but no change.
In the end I uninstalled Firefox 65.01 which got rid of both Icons in Start Menu , then reinstalled FF 65.01 (64bit) -all normal again.

General comment re Firefox - poor layout of their Download area - a lot of stuffing around to find the 64 bit Download , then more stuffing around to find he Standard Menu options to display on Start Page i.e. View Help etc I filled out their Support Survey being specifically critical in hose 2 areas.

1458175 2019-02-16 03:23:00 FF used to be pretty good. Use most of the others now on W10.

1458176 2019-02-16 19:01:00 Strange as I find FF still to be better laid out that that dog awful Chrome, where I can never find the settings I want. FF is just so easy in comparison and still works perfectly gary67 (56)

I think that's really about what you are used to, at least in part. Chrome is a little harder to find some settings in but once you've done it a few times it stops being an issue.

I used to just use Ineternet explorer, didn't see the point of multiple browsers when I only use one (still don't realy). Then issues with some website I've long since forgotten got me to switch to Firefox and I used it for a couple of years (I only tend to change if something makes me). Then Edge happened with windows 10 and I thought I'd try it - horrible experience (it's gotten better but still not great) so I went back to FF.

Anyway ultimately video streaming issues caused me to switch to chrome and I've stuck with it ever since, and it has not given me any issues.
