| 1457759 | 2019-01-28 22:05:00 | A friend of mine has a Gmail problem. I don't use Gmail so I rapidly ran out of ideas and wasn't able to help her. The issue is with printing document attachments. Images work OK. She clicks the image attachment and it brings up a preview. She then clicks the print icon and gets the google print/preview dialog. So far, so hoopy. With a document (.docx) she clicks and gets the preview, but when she clicks the print icon, all she gets is a blank tab - no printing stuff at all. I'm guessing it is some sort of file association issue. She uses LibreOffice, which did make me a bit suspicious (not of LibreOffice, but the fact she was "non-standard"). I didn't try any other file types (.xlsx for instance). She is also on Windows 8.1, believe it or not, but that is a whole separate conversation I have to have. Ideas, anyone? |

She could indeed download then print but she really, really doesn't want to do that (a women of strong opinions...), and she shouldn't need to. I tried the same thing on my PC and it all worked OK. |

| 1457764 | 2019-01-28 23:10:00 | Yes, it all works for me too. I do have a gmail account even though I don't use it, so I sent myself an email with attachments and it all worked as I thought it should. The document opens in a web page. Up to that point it is the same for an image or a document. It is when you click the print icon it all turns to custard. | Tony (4941) | ||
